The Dossier Report is a Checklist for your mechanic and you to follow up on.
Not following up and documenting your repairs is like going to a Doctor and throwing away the prescriptions they gave you...
This is the same software that your Inspector used to create the Dossier Report originally.
You might add a simple line to the Dossier Report like:
SUBJ: Task 5 is Complete
Body: Joe says the gearbox is now in spec
He would probably be more specific, like :
SUBJ: Task 5 is Complete
Body : I brought the gearbox tolerances into spec, but just barely. If it gets much more worn, it will need to be overhauled or replaced. Attached is a picture of the worn gears to compare to next year ..
Just as easily as your ABS Inspector created this Dossier Report merely by talking into their phone, your Mechanic can add detailed notes, with NO PAPERWORK!
And No Paperwork - just talking - means that you'll get a fuller description of the repairs - and pictures for verification and future comparison.
And if there's any complications to the repair, they can add lines to note things like "Parts on Order", etc for everyone's benefit of "What's going on..."
All communications with TSO is done through your simple, everyday email.

That's IT!
TSO knows who you are and your Tail # from your eMail address.
The Task # that you are commenting on is auto-filled in the Subject line .
Is almost exactly like [ADD NOTE] above
But TSO also adds the words 'IS COMPLETE' in the subject line.
This tells TSO to add a green checkmark when printing the Dossier Report

[Dossier] is the full report, with all notes and pictures
[No Pics] is the full report with notes, but no pictures
[Checklist] is a list of Tasks , with checkmarks for completed items.
As a practical matter, a certified A&P Mechanic must do most of these repairs.
If THEY document the repairs, you will invariably get a MUCH more detailed explanation - and pictures - for your maintenance history.
You must send this invitation from YOUR email address, since TSO uses the the Sender's email address to verify a new authorized Contributor, for your tail number.

Just like the ABS did for this Inspection, your Mechanic can use TSO to document all work done on your airplane.
So the same detail you got from the ABS can be on ALL your repairs visits.
