yOUR dOSSIEr rEPORT IS the start of a safer and better airplane

The Dossier  Report is a Checklist for your mechanic and you to follow up on. 

Not following up and documenting your repairs is like  going to a Doctor and throwing away the prescriptions they gave you...

included free with your ABS Evaluation, your mechanic and you can:

  • Add your notes to the Tasks/Squawks identified by your Inspectors.
  • Add pictures to any of these Tasks/Squawks.
  • Mark Tasks as 'Complete' to get a checkmark on the Dossier Report, to document your progress addressing these Tasks.
  • Run a Dossier Report at any time to get an updated Report.


This is the same software that your Inspector used to create the Dossier Report originally.

Why it's important to involve your mechanic

If *you* enter what the mechanic said...

You might add a simple line to the Dossier Report like:

     SUBJ:  Task 5 is Complete

    Body:   Joe says the gearbox is now in spec

_ _ _ _ But if your mechanic does it:

He would  probably be more specific, like :

     SUBJ:  Task 5 is Complete

    Body :  I brought the gearbox tolerances into spec, but just barely.  If it gets much more worn, it will need to be overhauled or replaced.  Attached is a picture of the worn gears to compare to next year ..

why this is better for evryone:

Just as easily as your ABS Inspector created this Dossier Report merely  by talking into their phone, your Mechanic can add detailed notes, with NO PAPERWORK!


And No Paperwork - just talking - means that you'll get a fuller description of the repairs - and pictures for verification and future comparison.


And if there's any complications to the repair,  they can add  lines to note things like "Parts on Order", etc for everyone's benefit of "What's going on..."

THIS HAS TO BE EASY, AND IT IS

All communications with TSO is done through your simple, everyday email.

There is no 'App',  no Logins and No Passwords.

TSO knows who you are by the address that you send emails from, and from that knows that you are an authorized Contributor and what your Tail # is.


It's all that simple.

Your Dossier Report has buttons to add your notes

Just Tap this button , and TSO will pop up your  eMail App.

Dictate your notes into the Body/Message of the eMail and press send

That's IT!

TSO knows who you are and your Tail # from your eMail address.

The Task # that you are commenting on is auto-filled in the Subject line .

[CLOSE]

Is almost exactly like [ADD NOTE] above

But TSO also adds the words 'IS COMPLETE' in the subject line.

This tells TSO to add a green checkmark when printing the Dossier Report

'do it for me' buttons are on the bottom of the report

Select any of 3 versions of the Dossier Report:

[Dossier] is the full report, with all notes and pictures

[No Pics] is the full report with notes, but no pictures

[Checklist] is a list of Tasks , with checkmarks for completed items.

INVITE Your Mechanic !

As a practical matter, a certified A&P Mechanic must do most of these repairs.

If THEY document the repairs, you will invariably get a MUCH more detailed explanation - and pictures - for your maintenance history.


You must send this invitation from YOUR email address, since TSO uses the the Sender's email address to  verify a new authorized  Contributor, for your tail number.

P.S.: YOUR Mechanic can use TSO for ALL your repair work

Just like the ABS did for this Inspection, your Mechanic can use TSO to document all work done on your airplane.   


So the same detail you got from the ABS can be on ALL your repairs visits.


TSO can also do  Pre-Buy Inspections (which is much like what this Evaluation is) as well as full parts-and-labor tracking.
